And Christmas Is Over.

Remember when you were a kid, and you'd get that incredibly fizzy-excitement-bursting-from-the-scenes feeling you'd get on Christmas Eve? And how you'd try your damnest to just GET TO SLEEP so Christmas morning would come quickly, but it would take freaking forever?

Well, that sort of excitement level left me quite a few years ago, but I can tell you now it was the best seeing Carter bouncing out of his bed to see if Santa came. This is the first year that he really 'got' Christmas, and it really bought that magic of the day back for me.

Although I missed my side of the family being here, we had multiple phone calls and I sent a few photos through to show what was happening on this side of Oz. I whipped up a Nigella Double Chocolate and Raspberry Pavlova (with some blueberries thrown in) and a cheesy bacon potato bake, and we spent a relaxing arvo at Deon's parents house exchanging gifts, drinking wine and playing the Wii with Carter. Yes, he's jumped on the Skylander train and he adores those little creatures.

To all my lovely readers out there, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with loved ones and ate copious amounts of food like I did. I'm now scouring the boxing day sales, and I have a couple of things in mind that I'd like to pick up (the Kenwood kmix kettle in Passion Pink is at the top of my list- so cute!) but today will be all about relaxation with a trip to the cinema to see Wreck It Ralph this arvo.

Enjoy your Boxing Day lovelies!
