There’s one thing that had been bugging me for a while now,
and that was the fact that the Little Lion didn’t seem to be getting enough
sunshine, or outdoor time. The kid was pale. We would wander out into the backyard nearly
everyday, but the lack of play equipment meant that after a short time he’d
have enough, and ask to go back indoors again. There's only so much fun you can have watering the plants, kicking a ball around or helping mum hang out the washing.
So, his grandparents decided to help out and a very lucky
Little Lion received an awesome swing set, slide and cubby house for Christmas.
It was a labour of love as Mr Hummingbird, his dad and his grandfather took two
days in sweltering heat to set it all up, but the look on Carter’s face when he
saw it definitely made it all worthwhile. (For them, anyway. It was easy for
me, watching through the window in air-conditioned comfort).
Now, we spend a huge amount of time outdoors. His favourite
part is the swing for sure, that kid can swing for hours. Not just on the one
swing though, it has to be on all
three. According to the Little Lion, swings rule.
Now, we just have to figure out how to get him back inside. When the words Time to go in! are uttered, he grips
harder onto the pole, shakes his head and looks at me as if to say Are you joking? You spent so long trying to get me outdoors, and now you want me in? As if that's gonna happen!
It’s all good though. I’m just beyond thrilled that he loves
it. I don’t know what we would have done if he didn’t want to go near it! It would have made quite a pricey garden display!

I loooove the swing set. Makes me want to be a little child again.. Your little Lion has an adorable smile! Please give him a kiss for me!! :)
