Featured Alphabet Painting.

I was feeling a little flat this morning. My mum left to live in Perth, and I'd just put Carter in daycare for the first time. (He was completely fine, bopping to a Wiggles song when I left, I was the one sobbing in the carpark.)

Then, I found an email from Dianne over at Handmade Cooperative saying they had featured my Ladybird Alphabet painting on their blog!

As I've said before, I'm very excited that I'm moving this week as I'll finally have a room that I can dedicate to a studio. No longer will Deon and I have to eat off our laps on the couch due to my kitchen table being covered with all my crap.

I'm going to look for gorgeous little artworks to hang on the wall as inspiration.. and what better place to start looking for it than madeit?

Point and Shoot #7

Saturday 26th June-3:50pm-Pan & Carter/Loungeroom

As I've mentioned, we've had a couple of tough weeks. Illness and sleep deprivation are exhausting. However, there has been one wonderful thing. And that wonderful thing is my little sister, or Aunty Pan. Carter adores his Aunty Pan. So do I. While I was feeling sick and sorry for myself on Saturday afternoon, she came over armed with choc chip bikkies and we laughed and rewatched the finale of Grey's Anatomy, gasping in all the appropriate places.

She is amazing. Love you past the stars Pan ♥

My Precious Carter- 11 Months.

(Late again- started on the 24th and finished today!)

My precious Carter,

Today, you are 11 months old.

This month has been tough for you, you poor little rabbit. You caught croup, and we spent quite a few night up with you. You couldn't sleep as you were so blocked up and wheezy, and coughing woke you up constantly. Luckily you were over it in a week, but now your mum is sick with a cold!

You've also got four top teeth coming through! However, this has also meant sleepless nights, and the only thing that will get you to drift off again is a bottle. (Let's hope you grow out of that soon!)
You're up to Level 2 in swimming, and loving it, although unfortunately you've missed the last couple of lessons due to illness.

You're definitely becoming more confident when it comes to walking! You're stringing quite a few steps together, and love to reach out for a hug at the end.

I've also noticed that your blonde hair is starting to curl at the ends as it becomes longer.. looks like you've inherited mum's curls after all!

Well little rabbit, only one month to go until you're one year old. It doesn't feel quite real. Love you past the stars xx

Regression.

I am struggling.

Carter's croup last week was difficult enough to deal with. But this week? Well, this week he has had a huge sleep regression.

Once upon a time he slept through the night. Occasionally I'd have to pop his dummy in once or twice. I thought I had it sorted.

Now? Well, now he still wakes once or twice a night. The difference now, is that he refuses to go to sleep until he's had a bottle. Even then, it can take up to two hours to get him back down. Is it because of him having croup? Is it a growth spurt? Is it teething? What is it!!??

I'm tired. I'm tired, and sick, and this is the first week where I'm working three days a week instead of two. What a week to start.

I feel like I'm at a loss. I don't know if I'm doing the right or wrong thing. Heck, I'm so fuzzy headed, I feel like I don't know what I'm doing at all.

Polly Dolly Challenge- Rainy Day

I love tea. Love, love, love it. One of my favourite parts of the day is to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea in a huge mug with an anzac biscuit or muffin to accompany it. I envisage my tea party to encompass a huge teapot and many mismatched teacups. There has to be vanilla cupcakes. No question.

My attire? Yep, I've gone for neutrals again, but I couldn't resist all the frills on the silk dress, and I'm a big fan of black patterned tights. Some cute black suede ankle boots and the gorgeous watch necklace to finish it off.

Now, I'm off to make a cuppa. Maybe some vanilla cupcakes. too.
