Colour, Colour Everywhere...

As I've mentioned, it's been pouring the last couple of days, and the temperature has only reached around the high teens (boo, hiss) so the Little Lion has been stuck indoors. We were both going slightly crazy, so while Deon was home I raced out to Kmart to find something new for him to play with.

I decided on a blue blow up pool with over a hundred coloured balls. I know it will be the bane of my existence as I find them all over the house (Deon's already discovered two in his work boots) but to see the excitement on Carter's little face made it all worthwhile.

He jumped in, picked them up, rolled them around then threw them out. Every.Single.One. I tell you what, if I don't manage to fit my run in for some reason, I'll get enough cardio by simply running around collecting all the coloured balls around my house!

The balls are going to be fantastic for learning different colours, and how to count. He's also developing his motor skills, and he already understands to pack up and throw them back in the pool at the end of the day. The best part is, it was only $40 all up.

It's definitely brightened up a dark, soggy weekend! Right now the little Lion is at his grandparents house for a sleepover, as we went to a 30th last night. I can't wait for him to come back again so I can see his cheeky smile, and give him a huge hug!
