Travel Envy.

'Take me for a ride on a big jet plane...'

I have to admit, when I hear of people's travelling experiences and see new photos pop up on my Facebook newsfeed of trips through foreign countries such as Italy, Greece, France and even the good 'ol US of A, I get pangs of jealousy. No, scratch that. It's like jealousy has slapped me across the face. I can't help it, I just have this desire to get out and see what the world has to offer. I just want to experience one more overseas trip before we even start thinking about little lion #2.

Deon is the exact opposite to me. He likes to be grounded, and I seriously don't think he'd batter an eyelid if he was told he'd never get to leave our hometown again. As you can imagine, this has caused many discussions between us. I love being spontaneous. He doesn't. Everything needs to be planned. Although, he's always had a dream to go to Rome, so I'm hoping to convince him to start thinking about a trip to Italy in the next five years or so..

Anyway, I'm compromising. Deon said he'd be happy to think about an OS trip with the little lion if he had at least a year to save and plan for it. Now, where's somewhere family friendly we can go next Summer holidays? The Hawaii Five-O theme song is playing in my head...
