My Precious Carter- 3 Months

My precious Carter,

Today, you are 3 months old.

Your progress and development is just so delightful to watch everyday. Each time you wake up I come in to be greeted with a huge sunny smile, and big stretches. I often turn the mobile on for a few minutes to give you time to wake up properly, and you stare up at it in wonder, watching the animals go round.

You've taken huge in brightly coloured toys that make different sounds. You especially love the bendy bug Aunty Lan gave you, and give it cheeky smiles whenever I shake it near you. You're also a big fan of the teething toys grandma gave you- you try to shove them into your mouth whenever you can!

Speaking of your cheeky smile, you win everyone over with it. My heart just bursts with love for you when I come to pick you up after I've finished work, and you reward me with one when you see me. It's the best feeling in the world.

You're such an active little rabbit! You don't just want to play 'sit' anymore, it has to be 'stand'! You're getting so strong, and are almost at the stage where you can hold your head without wobbling. You've also starting trying to roll onto your tummy. You're almost there, I don't think it will be long before you can get the whole way over!

You're a wonderful sleeper. Most nights you sleep the whole night through, waking for breakfast around 6am. Mummy loves that the night feeds are almost gone!

Well my little sweetheart, I wonder what next moth will bring?

My little bunny, I love you past the stars xx

A New Space.

On Sunday Deon decided to start moving all his gym equipment out of the shed and into storage. Now, this might not seem like much, but it's very exciting to me. Why, you ask? Because, Deon wants to turn the space into a studio for me, when I can work on all my art stuff so I stop cluttering up the kitchen table. Yay!

As I want to start looking at the real possibility of starting up a small business and selling my blocks, I needed a working environment that was somewhere other than my kitchen. I'm sure Deon is getting sick of eating down in the lounge room as our dining table is covered from one end to the other with paper, glue, paint, brushes, etc. I also need to be able to sort all my stuff and have easy access to it, rather than rifle through huge tubs looking for that one small object.

So, I'm going to start looking at studio pictures for ideas on how to set . Lots of storage boxes, glass jars and inspiration boards. I can't wait!

A Message for Aunty Lan.

Hey Pan.. Carter just wanted to share a little message with you, and show you what he thinks of his present! xx

Where Does the Time Go?

Phew! I know it's been a while since I was last here, and I do apologise for that. Last week was CRAZY busy. I decided to start CRT work, and even though it was the first week back for Term 4 I got called in twice. Well, 3 times actually but I only wanted 2 days of work.

I have to admit, it was hard leaving Carter for the whole day. I knew he would be OK, and it would be a good thing for both of us, but it still didn't stop me calling during the day to see how he was! And, of course, he was fine.

CRT is the best type of work I could be doing right now. Go in, teach (or supervise in some cases), go home. No meetings, planning, reports or correction.. LOVE IT.

I started going to the gym as well, but unfortunately I've caught a cold so I've only managed to go once. However, I was pretty strict when it came to watching what I ate and as a result I'm down 1kg.. yay! I'm getting there slowly....

One Perfect Day in December.

I've spent the last few days photographing and Photoshopping together the pages from my wedding album, as many people have asked to see images from the day. Also, it was lovely for me to bring it out and relive each page, moment by moment.

So, here it is...

Found- Maxi Dress!

I found the perfect Maxi Dress while shopping with Lan today, yay!

It's a soft purple and white print with crocheted straps and a racer back by Rusty. The fabric is lovely, it's quite soft and sits beautifully. I wish I could find a picture of it to post!

This dress is also my big reward for when I lose my baby weight and get back to a size I'm more comfortable with. I find that I'm more motivated to do something if there's something special waiting at the end.. and this one is a huge motivation ;)

I've put it on layby, and I'm due to pick it up in December. My goal is to be able to wear it on Christmas Day.. goodbye my chocolate, ice cream and soft cheese friends! I'm breaking up with all of you today!

Wanted- Maxi Dress

So, it looks like this season is all about the Maxi dress. I'm liking this quite a bit, as it should hide quite a few of my baby lumps and bumps until I'm back to my normal size. The surfy brands, although expensive, are just the type that I like.

Some of my faves from Billabong:

Gorgeous huh?

Bits and Pieces.

A couple of days ago I made the decision to look into a gym membership. I've been a little frustrated as the weather has been pretty awful, and I've been unable to do my daily walk with Carter. I need to get fit. I need to get my energy levels up. I need to feel better about myself. Also, we're heading into Summer, and the thought of exercising outdoors in 40 degree heat isn't exactly appealing!

The other bonus of getting a membership at waves is having access to the pool, and being able to enroll Carter in swimming lessons at 6 months. I can't wait for that!

On another note.. this week has been fantastic. It's been wonderful to have Lan here, and to see Carter spend time with her and create a solid bond. We've been hanging out each day, watching One Tree Hill, shopping and playing with Carter. Life couldn't be better right now.
