Another Year Over..

It's amazing how quickly time can fly.. my last post was about 3 weeks ago, and since then school has finished for the year, I'm on holidays for 5 weeks (yes!!), it's Christmas tomorrow and Deon and I head off on our first overseas trip to New Zealand on Boxing day.

Have a fabulous Christmas with loved ones, and a wonderful New Year, and I'll see you when I return.

Grad Ball 08

Yes, I know, I'm slack.. lately it seems to take me ages to update this! Last Thursday was our Year 10 Grad Ball, and I felt like glamming it up a little and adding a fascinator this year (and a homemade one at that!), as I was recycling a dress from 2 years ago.

I raced to Niccy's after getting my hair done, then we took off and picked Stace up. I have to say, I don't think we looked too bad.. I think we even gave some of the year 10 girls a run for their money!

This year was Mark's debut at the Grad Ball, and he was in fine form. I haven't laughed so hard at him and Keezy for a long time!


Yes.. boys will be boys. This photo is now taking pride of place in the PE office.

So, apart from the sound equipment catching fire and shooting out flames, and Shane in a panic trying to find replacement equipment, it was a fantastic night! Bring on 2009!

Bedroom Revamp

This is a little bit overdue, as Deon did this for me about 4 weeks ago, but better late than never! I was getting really sick of our bedroom, and how hardly anything was meshing. I mentioned to Deon one morning how I'd like to try and move things around, and while I was relaxing in the bath, voila! My gorgeous boy had shifted everything around as a surprise for me. I LOVE it! It feels like we have acres more space, and I can't wait until we pick up our new mirror to put on the wall. We also bought a whole heap of new cushions and a bed runner to compliment the new bedspread.




When I was in Vast Interior, the owner placed this aside for me, as she thought I'd love it. She was right, and now it sits just behind our bed. How cute!

December

Aaand.. I'm back. Last night I picked up some new Chrissie decorations, as I'd was sick of seeing the same ones for six years! I've ditched the purple and silver, and have gone for cream, gold, bronze and burnt orange. Deon is away for the week for work, and so I busied myself for a couple of hours prettying up our Christmas tree.



I love having the fairy lights on at night, and I can't wait to start putting some pressies under the tree. I bought yours last night Lan, I love it! I wish I could keep it!

I love December. I adore Christmas, and having no year 10's, the grad ball and activities days instead of classes. This is definitely my favourite time of year!
