Apologies.. again.

I know, I know.. I've been pretty bad at keeping this updated over the last couple of weeks. My interest in blogging has waned a fair bit, and I'm hoping it will come back soon.

It's a pretty awful day outside today.. windy and cold. Haven't been feeling the best either lately, a bit flat and disconnected. Work is flat out, and I'm struggling to keep momentum going there.

Anyway.. only 4 more weeks until the Summer holidays.. and New Zealand!

Novemeber Update

I feel like I'm the most boring person on earth at the moment.. I haven't been posting because I really don't have anything that interesting to write about lately! I've simply been tearing through the house, rearranging cupboards and throwing out (or donating to the Salvo's) garbage bags full of stuff that I haven't used in years.

I did actually venture out on Saturday night though.. Deon and I went to a trivia night to raise money for Niccy's Calisthenics club. Our table was doing so well for the first few rounds, we were leading up until 2/3 of the way through, until the questions got insanely hard and were basically aimed at people over 40. Not fair! We ended up 4th out of 10 tables.

Another big week this week.. 2 weeks until Year 10's have their exams then they're outta here, thank God! Under 5 weeks to go til the Summer holidays!

It's amazing how good a spring clean can make you feel.

I've spent the last 4 days spraying, wiping, relocating and turfing nearly every single object in nearly all my cupboards. I've collected 4 garbage bags worth of clothes that I haven't worn since I was 20 to donate to St Vinnies, and chucked another 2 garbage bags worth out. Deon's eyes were getting bigger and bigger with every bag I bought out. I now have space in my wardrobe! How wonderful!

The lotions and potions in my bathroom cabinet are now all standing freely instead of being jostled against each other, and every surface is shining.

Deon was an angel on Saturday morning. I mentioned how sick I was getting of our bedroom, and how it wasn't quite flowing right and that I'd like to try and change it. Well, I went and had a shower, and by the time I came out he had already rearranged everything for me! It looks amazing, and the great thing is that now I even have room for a daybed and mirror. I love it!
