Green is the New Black.
OK, here we go! Finally I've downloaded some pics of our house interior, and what we've done after playing around a bit. I love the acid green.. it's finally starting to all come together now! The boy's car models are still in my cabinet, but maybe not for much longer if I have anything to do with it...

Nothing Much Here...
I'm on holidays, which is why I've been a little bit slack in posting in here. I've gotten stuck into Dawson's Creek, and finished Season One in two days. Gonna have to do an emergency run to Nic's so I can pick up Season Two- I'm having withdrawals already!!

One Term Down...
Last day of term! I'm pretty excited about that, as I have STACKS of things planned for the holidays... lots of lists and things to cross off. I bought some fabric last night, and some little canvases, so I'll be starting to cover those tonight.
After celebrating with the crew, of course ;)
To finish, a beautiful little courtyard design I found.. love the timber decking.

Stir Crazy.
I feel like I'm going a little bit crazy. Slightly manic. I have so many projects that I want to sink my teeth into at home, that I've gotten a bit overwhelmed and have no idea where to start. Interior, exterior, artwork, furniture... who knows!
The other thing is, I still hate how our lounge looks. It's REALLY starting to irritate me, and the worst thing is that I know I can't really do much about it, cause I need $$$!
What's also irritating me massively is our garden situation, or lack of. We can't DO anything, because of these freakin' water restrictions. How are we supposed to grow grass? We can't!!
Sorry, slightly pointless post, but it made me feel better to get it out.

New Project!
OK. I have a new project on the go now. It's been bugging me for ages that the lounge/dining area hasn't meshed properly, and I've been racking my brains and scouring countless interior design websites to work out how to fix it. So, I've decided to move some things around, and with the help of the boy, construct something like this to go underneath the split system:

However, it's going to be painted white, with a few banana weave baskets to break it up, and some fabric or wallpaper inserts in some of the cubes.

Some wallpaper design options:

I can't wait to get started!

Random Update.
Bleh. Feeling a bit less than average today. That will teach me to mix drinks.. shoulda just stuck with the wine and not deviated to the punch. Ah well. Lesson learned (but probably forgotten soon!)
Had an awesome time though.. I love my friends so much.
I'm about to go and pick up a few more canvases, I have a few ideas that I want to play around with. Results on here soon....

Protesting Once Again...
OK. Once again, I am a sacrificing my pay in order to TRY and help my fellow union colleagues get that pay rise, in order to give us the same amount of respect as every other state.
However, today is only a half day strike, so we are expected to be back at work by 12.50. C'mon Brumby! Give us a break!
On a sad note, my mate Sarah is leaving in a couple of weeks to go to the UK. She's one of those chicks that I just clicked with, and became close to in an incredibly short amount of time.
Alright, just finished my cuppa, so it's time to get a move on and get my protest on. Shame I have to do it in 40 degree heat....

More Little Things...
I have LOVED this long weekend so far. It's the most relaxed and at ease I've felt for a long time.
I've had my perfect night of Pizza and One Tree Hill (only one disk to go 'til the end of season 4!!! Nooo!!!), I've caught up with mates at the Sandbar and chilled at Mum and Dad's. I've worked on the house until it's spick and span, and I've gotten constructive and created 3 little artworks.

This is just one of them.. I've started collaging a bit. Not sure where to put them yet, as they don't quite match the Balinese theme in the Lounge, but they do match the frames near the front entrance. Help!

New Little Things...
I thought I'd post a few pics of a few new things I've added to our little house. I'm trying to improve it slowly, step by step. As I have no control over the outside at the moment, I've put all my effort into the inside.

I LOVE this new vase. I found it while browsing for a present for MIL. I wasn't sure what to put in it, until I saw a whole heap of sticks and things at Vast Interior. The colours match the rest of the house beautifully. And then I found...

The photo doesn't really do it justice, but this gorgeous metal artwork matches not only the bedroom (bringing out the copper in the bedspread and cushions) but the vase as well.

What do you think?

Butterfly Alphabet
Out of the Blue
A wonderful thing happened to me today.
I was helping a student in photography, when all of a sudden she looked at me and said, "Miss, do you realize how many students love you? Everyone always says how lucky they are to have you, if you teach them."
I was a little bit speechless. Things like that, when they appear out of the blue, just make everything feel right. I wish we heard things like that more often.
